Global Warming and Water News
On Wednesday, September 26th, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held a hearing on Global Warming and its impacts on the Chesapeake Bay. CWN Member group Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) participated on a panel of experts in the region.

Clean Water Network’s Global Warming Guide
Uniting the local and the global, many clean water groups are participating in global warming adaptation and mitigation activities, policies, and programs.
Network summer intern Liz Piper-Goldberg took on the enormous challenge of compiling a booklet, which showcases examples of Clean Water Network member organizations programs on the cutting edge of the water/climate movement.

Global Warming and Water Workgroup Discussion Forum
The Clean Water Network recently launched a dynamic new workgroup on global warming and water. The observed and projected impacts of global climate change on our water resources - sea level rise, saltwater intrusion of coastal aquifers, ocean acidification, increases in floods and droughts, and the reduction of the glaciers and snowpacks that anchor much of the world's drinking water supplies - are arguably among the most important impacts of global warming. A draft mission statement for the workgroup is now available.
