U.S. EPA water quality standards information
An Internet repository of State and Tribal water quality standards is now available on EPA's website at: http://www.epa.gov/ost/wqs This new web site will enable any user to obtain the full text of water quality standards that are in effect under the Clean Water Act for each State and for each Tribe authorized to develop standards.
In addition, check out the Water Quality Standards Database, http://www.epa.gov/wqsdatabase, which allows the user to view the designated uses of waterbodies in a structured way. Also, EPA's Watershed Assessment, Tracking and Environmental Results (WATERS) information system is available for a limited number of states on EPA's website at http://www.epa.gov/waters. WATERS enables users to connect and display important water quality information on maps in their geographic context.
