Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter
The Indiana/Hoosier Chapter of the Sierra Club celebrated 25 years of environmental activism in 2000. It is an active and vibrant organization that works to accomplish the Sierra Club's mission to:
- Explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth.
- Practice and promote responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources.
- Educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment.
From community issues and action, to lobbying on a state and national level, the club works to take effective action where it's needed most. Members enjoy volunteering with like-minded folks, and take advantage of the many great outings, resources, programs, and local, state, and national training seminars that are worthwhile and fun.
