Clean Water Networks First Annual Dirty Waters Stories Journalism Contest

Clean Water Network is sponsoring a Dirty Water Stories writing contest for aspiring journalists and current journalism students. We are asking all Clean Water Network (CWN) members to circulate and pass this information on to journalism schools and programs in your own networks and communities. The Network is also sending this notice out to journalism programs as well to help get the word out as much as possible.

To enter, send Clean Water Network’s Gordon Culver (gordonculver@cleanwaternetwork.org) a story about polluted water and/or water shortages in your community. We are looking for compelling stories that will help communicate to federal, state and local decision makers the gravity of America's water crisis. The winner of the contest will receive a cash prize of $300. All finalists’ entries will be published in the CWN Dirty Water Stories compendium and be posted on Clean Water Network’s website, www.cleanwaternetwork.org.
