On February 7th, the Clean Water Network's list of the top ten most important clean water achievements and events of 2009 was featured on Surfrider's blog. The list highlights just a few of the positive things that happened for clean water in 2009. Items featured on the list include the June 18th passage of several important piece of clean water legislation in the Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee, President Obama signing the 2010 Interior and Environment Appropriations Bill and the New York Times Toxic Waters series of investigative stories highlighting water related problems across the country.
