CWN Signs onto Letter of Support for National Ocean Policy
In a letter to Representatives Boehner, Pelosi, Rogers and Dicks, 92 different organizations, including Clean Water Network, representing millions of Americans, urged Congress to ensure the National Ocean Policy is implemented and properly funded.
The National Ocean Policy is an executive order issued by President Obama last summer that will help U.S. citizens in many ways, such as by protecting our coasts and oceans from pollution. But, the policy will only be able to accomplish its goals are funded and the provisions are not blocked by Congress. A copy of the full letter is attached as a pdf file on this page.
